THE SPECTRUM GAME DATABASE NEMESIS PUBLISHER Activision AUTHOR YEAR 1990 DESCRIPTION Nemesis is a horizontal-scrolling shoot'em-up. CONTROLS A variety of joysticks can be used, and the keyboard controls are redefinable. INSTRUCTIONS The aim of the game is basically to get to the end, by working your way through the levels. You can move your ship around using the directional controls, and of course fire shoots your weapon. At the bottom of the screen is a list of all the available power- ups. Should you manage to kill all of any single squadron of aliens, then they will leave a bonus which can be picked up by flying into it. This will then move your power-up selector along one square. You can see which one is currently highlighted since it is bright orange. If you then press Select, the currently highlighted power-up will be added to your ship. You can select some of the power-ups more than once, and each addition will be better than the last. If a selection goes blank, it means it cannot be selected any more. Should you die, you will lose all of your power-ups. CHEATS SEQUELS/PREQUELS There was a sequal written called Salamander, which was the same sort of game.
